Timeless Albums: The Beatles’ Abbey Road Released in September 1969, Abbey Road was the last album The Beatles recorded together, although Let It Be came out later. Despite tensions within the band, they returned to the studio and created something extraordinary. From the unforgettable groove of Come Together to George Harrison’s Something and Here Comes the Sun, and the remarkable medley on side two, this is an album designed to be heard as a whole. Listen closely to the vocal harmonies, Paul McCartney’s bass lines and the way one song flows into the next. It is a reminder that sometimes an album tells a bigger story than any single track.
