From a High School Gym to the Arenas On November 6, 1970, Aerosmith played its first show in the gym at Nipmuc Regional High School in Mendon, Massachusetts. Joe Perry's mother, who worked at a nearby school, helped the new band secure the booking. Their eleven-song set mixed covers of Route 66, Rattlesnake Shake and even Led Zeppelin's Good Times Bad Times with two originals, Movin' Out and Somebody. It's hard to imagine that this noisy school band would become one of America's defining rock acts. By this 1978 performance of Dream On, the stage was enormous, but the hunger still sounds familiar. What was the humblest stage where you played, or dreamed of beginning? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZfZ8uWaOFI
